Kickapoo Cavern State Park Information:
The park is the former 6,368 acre Seargeant Ranch. It was acquired in 1986, and opened in an undeveloped state to the public in 1991. The two significant caves include the 0.25 mile long Kickapoo Cavern, and the 1,068 foot long Stuart Bat Cave (formerly Green Cave) which is home to Mexican Free-Tailed bats. Until 2010, daily access was restricted to scheduled cave and bat viewing tours. More cave information is available from the Texas Speleological Association.Additional park activities include camping, horseback riding, picnicking, birding and birding tours, and hiking and mountain biking. Park entrance and camping fees apply. For more information read the Park Brochure and watch the Park Video. Take RR 694 22 miles north of Brackettville. Watch for park signs.
