Casa Navarro State Historic Site
Casa Navarro State Historic Site Information:  
This 0.5 acre site is the restored 1850s home, kitchen, and office of Tejano patriot Jose Antonio Navarro (1795-1871), a prominent San Antonio merchant, rancher, statesman and signer of the Texas Declaration of Independence. The original house complex was built in approximately 1848, and consisted of three limestone & caliche block and adobe structures. The adobe home is furnished with period furnishings and accessories. Copies of Navarro’s writing are on display. Amenities include an ADA compliant ramp. The patio is available for parties of up to 150 guests. This historic site hosts special events and group tours.
